ADVANCED RESEARCH

Current research utilizing EcoActive Surface’s advanced functional nanostructured coatings include our photocatalytic effects in inexpensive solar cells using Graetzel principles. Research is also being done regarding the increase in aerodynamic efficiencies on airfoils and high speed transportation due to the hydrophilic effect that reduces drag and increases lift by maintaining boundary layer.

Recently, scientists have discovered the increase in efficiencies using OxiTitan in plasma actuators. These plasma actuators may one day take the place of conventional mechanical aircraft control surfaces, particularly in hypersonic aircraft.
