OxiTitan’s evidence based technology works in two ways to kill microbes and reduce VOCs on surfaces. First, its unique structure attracts bacteria, viruses, spores and organic molecules electrostatically to the treated surface. This strong molecular bonding results in significant microbe and VOC deactivation, even in the dark. Simultaneously, the hydroxyl radicals and singlet oxygen generated from photocatalysis oxidize the microbial contamination and decompose Volatile Organic Compounds and noxious chemicals such as hydrogen sulfide, nitrous oxides, ammonias and formaldehyde in the air. Viruses such as influenza (H1N1), Hepatitis, HIV and noroviruses are deactivated through chemical damage to their molecular structures. Dangerous spores such as C. difficile and Bacillus anthrax are deactivated and their toxins are decomposed. Surface contamination, mold, mildew, air pollutants and odors are constantly reduced. This sustained broad-spectrum antimicrobial action continues under any light source, on any surface, indefinitely.
